It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted here!  Sorry!!  I will try and catch you up on what’s been going on.The convention was amazing!  I got to talk to quite a few really cool people and they gave me suggestions on other characters I could draw for next time.  There’s another convention in late August and I’m fairly sure I will be attending it.  Yay!  We (Amelia and I) were also invited to a convention in late September in Lafayette!  I sold a handful of prints and had people asking for my signature!  (D’awww!!!)  And it also served to get me pumped up on my own comic which brings me to the next topic!

I’m hoping that I will have my first issue done by late August so I can have them at my booth as well.  I’ve got it all thumbnailed out, storywise, and I’ve started on the artwork now.  I will try and post some of it up here so you should be seeing a few sneak peeks of it soon!  I’m getting the concept art of my characters up in the next few days as well.  So I’ve been busy, busy!

I also started drawing a lot more with pencils and bought a few gray markers to play around with as well.  It’s been a lot of fun!  I have a big compilation of some of the pencil sketches that I’ll share with you here.  I’ll try to remember to take a picture of the marker drawings I’ve done.  I’m not super great with markers yet but I’m fairly happy with how they came out for the first time of really using them like this.  I didn’t get Copic markers but….that’s cause they’re super expensive!  D=  Maybe somewhere down the line.  I’m happy with the ones I have for now.

I need to get back to working with photoshop!  I use dual monitors and one of them died so it’s slowed me down a little.  I guess I’m super spoiled with two monitors!!  But it’s being shipped off soon since it’s still under warranty.

So sorry for falling off the regular posts for a little while!  Crossing my fingers that I’ll have some of the comic up for you guys to see soon!
